The Latest Trends in Bridal Beauty | Hair and Makeup Ideas for Your Wedding Day!

You will likely never be photographed—or stared at by your entire guest list—as much as you are on your wedding day. The many, many photos taken during your ceremony and reception will capture precious memories you’ll look back on for years to come. That's why it is so important to find a bridal style that balances what's timeless and currently on-trend! A great stylist is a must in order to nail down the bridal look best suited to you. To that end, Kaleigh, owner of The Styling Stewardess, shared some of her predictions for what's now and next in the world of bridal trends!

1 // Simplicity Speaks

2019 has been all about the Kondo Method, which involves eliminating excess clutter and only keeping what sparks joy. This vibe has definitely carried over into the beauty world and has ushered in an era of pared down, effortless glam. "I think brides will continue to follow Meghan Markle's effortless style—low messy updos and simple blowouts for hair," says Kaleigh. "The same goes for makeup. A light, barely-there glow will remain on-trend going forward."

2 // The Power Pony

No longer limited to the gym or a bad hair day, ponytails have moved into the spotlight and are making a big statement thanks to the arrival of the power pony. Ponytails can be simultaneously functional and fabulous, and are a perfect option for the bride who wants her hair out of her face on the Big Day. In the months to come, "I expect to see modern takes on ponytails instead of half-up, half-down styles," Kaleigh shares. Try a sleek low-pony with a middle part, a high pony with plenty of volume, or a low and loose pony with soft curls.

3 // Coming up Roses

Heavy contouring, intense smokey eyes, and dark lips are moving out. In their place, "Rosy makeup will be making an appearance," says Kaleigh...and we are HERE for it! Rosy pink brings so much warmth and romance to a bridal look, and the shade is flattering on most skin tones. Plus, you can incorporate rosy shades with any look from a formal full ball gown to a breezy, beachy sheath.

The best part about these bridal beauty trends is that they will stand the test of time and are easy to achieve—the perfect blend of contemporary and classic! If you are
planning your wedding on a short timeline, you will likely only have one beauty trial run before your wedding day. Take these three tips to your stylist to ensure that your wedding day glam resonates both now and in the many years of marital bliss to come!
